ImToo Video Joiner can help you combine various clips into one converted video. The interface leaves no room for doubts. The first phase corresponds to composing the future video. For this purpose, there is a timeline to which you can add clips. The program supports lots of different video formats but, unfortunately, it does not allow you to include static images. This limitation does not let you create slideshows, a feature that is available in other software of the same type. In order to add new items, you can use not only the Open button but also drag and drop them onto the timeline. After this, you will be able to order the elements as desired by simply dragging them to another position in the timeline. Sadly for those who love transitions, there is only one kind of effect available: fade in/fade out, which you can activate by checking the option. It is also possible to preview the results while you make the desired changes.
The second phase includes combining and converting the videos. At this point, you will be prompted to enter a name and a destination folder for the resulting video. An important step is to choose a target format. The program actually supports lots of video formats. These have been organized in two largest groups: devices and multimedia formats. Should you intend to create a video for a specific device, for instance, it would suffice to look for the name of the intended device on the list and then pick a supported format. In addition, you can also specify exact conversion parameters. Unfortunately, you cannot choose to combine the clips without any re-encoding. I know this is not possible if the source clips have different formats, but it would be nice if we could avoid the re-encoding process when the source clips share the same format. This would surely save us a lot of time and deliver videos without any quality loss whatsoever.
